Still no rum..

Best laid plans. I did not get to the liquor store today. So, there is no good rum in the house for one more night.  We went to Calloway’s in Manahawkin for dinner tonight.  We had DS2 and DS3 with us. They have a different musician each Friday night during Happy Hour. This week the musician was a man named Charles Matson. He was good, piano, guitar and vocals. He was our age. The songs that he sang/played were out of a very deep songbook. He did a few top 40’s from our era, but most of the songs were secondary hits, that you as a fan would enjoy. He played five or six songs that I have never heard played in a bar. Not original stuff, just deep into the song book.

Big news! DS3 has a JOB!  Say it, a JOB. He starts Monday morning at 8:30 am. He will be working for the B & B Department store on LBI. Eight bucks an hours, but working. His parents are excited by this news. DS2 worked all day. He is off Saturday, working Sunday.  DS1 has the weekend off. He is in Ohio for a wedding. He missed his first flight by 30 seconds the morning and had to fly stand by for the rest of the day.  He was in Ohio by noon time. Not a big loss of time for him.

Me, worked from home. No big deal. My DW worked the early shift and was home by 1:30 in the afternoon. The beer of the night on tap was Sam Adams Norse Legend.  I enjoyed this. I have never seen this in the store, but on tap it was excellent.  We played trivia at the bar. My DW and I beat our children in the game.  Tonight’s pictures is of the boys at the bar. The other picture is of some of the vegetables that I picked in the garden today.  Enjoy!
