Dancing is allowed..

Off the couch, I think we covered that tonight. If you read last nights blog I lamented at my not getting off the couch and going for a walk on the beach after dinner. We live 7 miles from the ocean, yet we don’t go there often enough. This morning (probably in response to last night’s blog) my DW asked me if I wanted to go to a free reggae concert on  LBI after dinner. Well, free is for me.

The group playing is called No Discipline.  They can be found on the web clicking here.  They play a concert in Harvey Cedars at the Sunset Park each year. This is the first time that we went. My children have gone with friends in years past.  We put our blanket down and listened to the opening act, a musician named Brian. He was pretty good. If the volume was a little louder it would have been better.

The main attraction came on next. We sat and sang along for a song or two. Then I got up and shot this video with my cell phone. The phone can shoot in HD. I need to pan slower next time. The video can be found here (on you tube)

We danced.  We laughed, we had fun. We danced for about and hour. By 8:30 (the show ran 7 pm to 9 pm) the music had morphed into dance club music for the teenagers that were up front dancing. It was like dancing at a wedding. As the night goes on the music gets louder and faster.  We stopped for ice cream on the way home. Yum!

The rest of the day, whatever..  Nothing too special. I have a few pictures from the concert to share. Enjoy!

Namaste
